Vonage Anywhere

V-Phone

Hot on the heels of Skype releasing a VOIP stick, Vonage announces their V-Phone, a USB flash drive which houses Vonage’s software, allowing users to connect to their network, and acess all the features Vonage customers have come to know and trust, from any broadband enabled pc.

The new device was revealed today by Vonage chairman Jeffrey Citron @ Convergence 2.0. The V-Phone is to be officially released later this week.

Vonage despite its legal troubles, and debt, is the market leader in VOIP solutions right now, and the addition of this service, will surely strengthen their position, as well as the benefits to consumers of being able to make unlimited calls to the US, Canada, Puerto Rico & select countries in Europe.

The device improves the mobility of the VOIP product, even though users could previously travel with their Vonage adapters, and the addition of the Vonage Wi-fi phone, this provides a much more mobile solution.
