It is important to see Nintendo visionary Shigeru Miyamoto's point of view that the Wii and DS are really experimental platforms at their core, bringing gaming appeal to the masses like never before. This unprecedented success has also hinged on some pretty nifty titles such as Wii Fit and Wii Sports, and at the current E3 2008, Nintendo has surprised everyone yet again with a new type of non-game known as Wii Music. In this title, there is no winning or losing, and you virtually control a whole opera using the Wiimote. Of course, folks who want to try out the drums on this can always opt for the Wii Balance Board that came with each purchase of Wii Fit. It goes to show that pure graphical processing muscle still loses out to a great game idea, and the Wii is pulling ahead of everyone else in this aspect.
