Food Blogging To Your Kitchen

It's hard to cook three meals a day, not to mention challenging yourself to come up with different recipes every day of the week. The Yummy Kitchen Connect is a concept, that creates a kitchen community straight from your kitchen to the blogosphere. It recommends recipes based on your food supply, your diet, and recipes on the web. You can update your recipes by adding comments on the blog using the touchscreen and taking pictures from the plunging camera. It can also scan bar codes on products to add them to your house stock.  Yummy can also access media such as podcasts, video blogs, music, webtv, and Skype. Awesome idea! Let's hope this eventually comes to our kitchens.

Yummy"Yummy is a kitchen community device. It connects the kitchen to the cooking network and food blogosphere. It recommends you a good lunch, according to your food supply, current diet and receipes from the web. Yummy is specially designed for the kitchen. No waste of space : it fits on the wall. It is designed to enhance standing interactions (fast and simple operations) in the kitchen."

Why would anyone want to have that computer on their kitchen wall? To help them prepare three meals a day? This is ridiculous, people don’t cook anymore, although, some might want to have it thinking it can make better “sandwiches”.

The people who came up with this bad idea probably don’t cook themselves or they would know that it’s a lot more fun to use a cooking book than this, thing. And if ever they needed to find a special recipe they should know that it can be found on the internet. Just print it, and “voila”. (…They can even take their laptop to the kitchen if they ran out of paper for the printer.)

Having said that, it’s good to have a touch screen computer that you can use with greasy fingers when you are in the middle of cooking.

    regards

i’ve got an analog one of those – it’s an old stained, annotated, cookbook with 3*5 cards and recipes torn out of magazines stuffed in it. since i do the shopping and cooking, i already know what i have on hand.

seriously – when i saw it, i thought ‘neat’. then when i thought about it, it seems like another expensive ‘labor saving device’ that offers a solution to a problem that is already solved.

There’s some sort of gadget in that photo up top, you say? Seriously? I completely failed to notice it. My attention seemed to be fixed elsewhere, mysteriously enough.
