Already available in Latin America, Sony is now debuting in the US, their new budget line of flash Walkmans, the NW-E series.
The players come in sizes ranging from 512 MB to 2 GB, and feature MP3 playback, FM radio capabilities, 28 hour playback capacity and a quick charge feature that enables the device to be charged back up to a 3 hour run time in 3 minutes. Pretty impressive.
Available in black, silver, violet, pink, blue, and green with preset equalization settings, and the capability to remember frequently used FM stations. The player also has an integrated one-line OLED, can be customized to left and right handed users by flipping the screen orientation and supports WMA, AAC, MP3 & Sony's proprietary ATRAC file format. Files can be loaded via your PC's USB port (device supports USB 2.0), supports non-DRM files and is compatible with Sony's Connect Music Service.
Pricing starts @ $70 for the 512 MB version (blue), $100 for the 1 GB (silver and pink) and $130 for the 2 GB model (black, violet & lime green) and come w/ black or white earbud headphones.[Digital Trends]
