Sony goes for broke with 160GB PS3 bundle

Hot off the heels of a new Sony PSP release comes another Sony product for the gaming world - this time round, we have a bloated up PlayStation 3 that comes with a massive 160GB hard drive. It will not only be released in Europe, but will come as a bundle in the US which contains over €70 worth of downloadable game content, Naughty Dog's highly rated Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, a PSN voucher for PAIN that expires when March 30, 2009 rolls around, and a DualShock 3 controller to boot. Of course, all those mentioned will accompany the main attraction which is the 160GB PS3. The entire bundle can be brought home for $499.99. Apart from the larger hard drive, the 160GB PS3 comes with a mere two USB 2.0 ports sans memory card readers of any sort, making it look (and sound) more and more like the 40GB model, albeit with a much more spacious hard drive. It is slated for a November release.
