Sony Ericsson has just released its MD300 USB mobile broadband modem that not only boasts high speed data download capability, it can also operate across multiple frequencies all over the globe. The MD300 will operate on HSDPA/UMTS networks at 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz, while those who prefer to chug along can do so with EDGE/GPRS networks at 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. The MD300 also ships with 128MB of internal memory that can be accessed, containing pre-loaded drivers and software necessary. No word on pricing but it will be available in Q1 next year. Choose from black or silver colors.
