Japan, as usual, will be the first country in the world to receive the new 40GB PS3 as it did with the 60GB model last year. It will retail for approximately $342 there after conversion, but the downside would be its inability to play PS2 games which will definitely alienate many gamers who are willing to make the jump and yet want to continue playing their PS2 games without going through the hassle of setting up a couple of consoles in the living room itself. This new model will be rolled out this November 17th. Only Europe and Japan will 'benefit' from this new model - if you're residing at either sides of the world, would you pick it up?
