Looks like Microsoft will be releasing Halo 3 with much fanfare, and a matching console to boot - taking the path that Nintendo has trod many times over. There will be a Halo 3 special edition Xbox 360 console, but somehow or rather I can't help but feel gutted by the sub-par specifications that don't even live up to the Premium SKU. What you get includes an HDMI port, a 20GB hard drive (for crying out loud, 20GB?), and special editions of the Halo 3 wireless controller, wired headset, as well as gamer pics and themes which are downloadable from Xbox LIVE.
Get this, this so-called special edition version doesn't even come with Halo 3, which means you've got to fork out at least another $60 to complete it. Doesn't sound as though you get a whole lot of value from the package. Would you pick this up just for the Halo 3 art?
