Wet Diaper Alarm?

I don't have any children, but I know enough about them to know that when their diaper is wet, they tend to cry until you change it. If you don't have that instinctive knowledge, there's a gadget out there for you. The Wet Baby Diaper Alarm attaches "to a baby's diaper to detect wetness. When the baby wets the diaper, the alarm's CMOS chip immediately gives out music to alert you to change the diaper. Helps to keep baby clean and dry." Is this toy even safe? Something tells me baby toys aren't suppose to have long cords that could potentially be a baby hazard. Moms? Would you get this for your child? Via Yahoo Tech

Wouldn’t the loud noise traumatize the child and possible cause them to avoid wetting themselves in a pavlov’s dog type situation? Eeek…this thing could be a bad idea all around!
