According to the Washington Post, video gaming may be hitting the big time and joining poker as a new TV favorite. Major League Gaming, the world's largest video gaming league, announced today it has signed a deal for seven one-hour shows that will air on USA Network during the holiday season, which happens to be the video game industry's prime retail season. Coincidence? I think not. The MLG has also signed up some heavy sponsors, Scion and Boost Mobile. The two companies will also sponsor the MLG Pro Invasion Bus Tour, which kicks off this summer and will make 100 stops around the country with some pros searching for the next generation of professional gamers. Think you could be the next Bonnie Burton or Tom Taylor? Go check out MLG for details. [CEA Smartbrief]
