Samsung Phones with Motion Recognition

SamsungphoneSamsung Korea now sells these clamshell SPH-S4000 and SCH-400 handsets which feature gesture recognition capability.  This feature allows easy navigation of MP3 files simply by moving the handset. Business-users will like its support for banking transactions, while the outdoors types will find the electronic compass,  thermometer, and health management tracking very helpful.  Via Ubergizmo

How does this work? Doesn’t seem practical to me since moving it accidentely will probably cause it to do something you dont want it to.

Perhaps its like speech recognition, it all ahs its initial teething problems.
