I still find it hard to believe, but an ad of former Governor Eliot Spitzer with a thought bubble that says "I'm tired of being treated like a number" has been circulating the Internets--the number reference is in regards to his"Client Number 9" status with you know who.

CNet reports that Nathan Rosenberg, CMO at Virgin Mobile, said the ad will run in the papers for two weeks as part of some "You call the shots" campaign. Hilary and Barack will also be featured in said campaign.
Disabled Man Attempts to “Crutch” 100km To Raise Money For Surgery
Dublin, IE., Oct. 4 – A young disabled Irish man is going to attempt to crutch (walk with crutches) almost 100km from his home in Dublin to Ireland’s mythical Hill of Tara and back on the 9th of October in order to raise €28,822 euro for surgery and a rehabilitation program he hopes will allow him to walk unaided for the first time in 13 years!
32 year old Diarmuid Brannick was crippled with arthritis at the age of 19, a condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis which completely destroyed both of his hip joints and led them to fuse to his pelvis , leaving him unable to walk without crutches.
Brannick refused surgery and embarked on what would become a 13 year odyssey in search of natural healing. Despite medical science declaring it impossible, he tracked the inner and outer world trying to find a way to restore the function of his hip joints. His story spans 4 continents and almost 5000 days, includes a cast of spectacular characters and unique adventures.
A number of what he describes as “extraordinary” experiences in the past two years led him to eventually accept surgery as “just as valid an option as anything else, and maybe the only thing that will allow me to walk without crutches at this stage!!”
Brannick is going for surgery on October 20th in Chennai, India with Dr Vijay Bose, who is an expert in operating on cases like his. Following surgery he will be travelling to Russia for 5 months intensive rehabilitation.
