I was slightly surprised to find an article on SKY about the intense hatred young girls have towards Barbie. Girls between the ages of 7-11 regarded Ms Barbs as a "babyish" symbol. A study found the doll provoked rejection, hatred, and violence. Some of the girl's favorite torture methods included: removing hair, decapitation, burning, breaking and microwaving. The girl's violent hatred was linked to the doll's "rich symbolism".
