Gave up on your New Year's resolution to keep fit this year a long time ago? Well, perhaps you need some motivation to help you get back on track, and the ITAMI FitTrainer sounds like the perfect device to do so. This gizmo is actually the Sega Body Trainer as it is known in Japan, but has been rebranded as the ITAMI FitTrainer across the Pacific. This is a virtual electronic body trainer that you wear like a headset, telling you how you should exercise in order to achieve maximum results. It will rely on the Karvonen Method in order to determine your optimal “Training Heart Rate” (THR), and you can choose from a trio of exercise modes (walking, jogging and aerobics) to help you fight the flab. All you need to do is plug in your MP3 player and tune in to your favorite songs whenever you hit the treadmill and you're good to go. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.
