When the Rubik's Cube was first released, it caused quite a stir across the whole world. I suppose it was one of those puzzle crazes back in time, where the modern equivalent would include Tetris (in the digital format) and Sudoku. Since it's inception, the Rubik's Cube has held a special place in most people's hearts and have long been a recognizable icon, so it is no surprise to see such a familiar item being used to brighten up the living room as furniture.
Created by New York design firm Jellio, these tables are actually blown up versions of the diminutive Rubik's Cube and made from acrylic. These tables measure 16" x 16" x 16", so you can always tuck it away in the corner as a telephone table or a cute little coffee table. It would have been nice to see Jellio include some form of twisting, but they are all perfectly solved with each $600 purchase. Methinks that is paying way too much for something as rudimentary as that, but then again money and sense hardly see eye to eye when it comes to fashion.
