It's time to go back-to-school, and now parents have another decision to make: Should they send their kids to school with a bulletproof backpack? MyChild's Pack was created by two men in Boston who worry about all the recent school shootings. The backpack is lighter than a 15-pound police vest, yet it can stop even the deadliest 9-millimeter hollowpoint. For $175 parents can have peace of mind, and kids a nice shield just in case. A nice idea, but it only works if it happens to be covering the part of the body that gets shot. I’m guessing most kids who are shot don’t get enough warning to whip their backpack off and stick it in front of them.
