This years keynote from Steve, touted as "Its Showtime", debuted the new Apple lineup, which included new products and refreshes to the present mp3 line.
Products that saw updates were the iPod with Video, the Nano and the iPod shuffle.
The iPod with video now sports a screen that is 60% brighter, sizes of 30GB up to 80GB, a 3.5 hr playback time for video (a 1.5 hour increase over previous times) , redesigned headphones, and some new software features.
The 80GB model will also be able to play video for 6.5 hrs!
Software features which are also available for the previous 5G iPods as a firmware update include gapless playback, text-based search and brightness controls, and the ability to add games such as Bejeweled, Cubis 2, Mahjong, Mini Golf, Pac Man, Tetris, Texas Hold 'Em, Vortex, and Zuma which can be downloaded from iTunes at a cost of $5 each.
Pricing of the 5.5G iPods starts @ $250 for the 30GB iPod and $350 for the 80Gb version.
