Rumor has it Sony will be releasing the NW-A002, NW-A003, NW-A005 MP3 players, replacing the exsisting E100/E300 series. In hopes to compete with the iPod market, the company plans to release all three players priced below the iPod Nano's market price. They're set to be released in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB capacities, with an OLED screen, and no FM/AM radio. [Ubergizmo/Atraclife]
Why does Sony even bother, they faltered so badly in the early days of MP3 (minidisk anyone?) that most people today don’t even think of Sony when considering buying a MP3 player.
