Electrolux invites students from around the world to design household appliances for the future, these are some items they designed for the home of 2020. Seems like a long way to go, but I guarantee you we won't have to wait that long to see some of these appliances in our homes in a few years. Below are some ideas from innovators in 2005.
"Clothes made from nano-coated fabrics are the future of fashion. Such clothes are durable and stain resistant, but they need to be cleaned. Enter KaionWAVE washing system. It acts as both a washer and dryer, using ultraviolet-C light and free radical oxygen to clean and sanitize clothing. No water or chemicals necessary. It?s wireless, waterless and requires minimum maintenance. The intuitive user interface and safety considerations mean anyone in the family can operate it."
