The battle royale that involves all three consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii) is looming with the upcoming holiday season, and to date both Sony and Microsoft's offerings have already experienced the almighty price cut in an effort to boost sales. Amazingly, Nintendo's strategically priced Wii is still in high demand and shows no signs of slowing down despite not seeing the $249 price tag moving since its release last year. According to Nintendo senior marketing VP George Harrison, the Wii's price will remain the same in the "forseeable future" as Nintendo is selling everything they are making. Strange to see the Xbox 360 having the highest software attach rate in the US, but how many games does the average Wii owner have in his/her collection? Makes me wonder where all those sold out consoles end up as...

it’s called virtual console. I have 15 games downloaded that I play constantly. I don’t need to run out and buy a physical game. The people who love nintendo love it because they can remain tied to the past. But when something new does come out that is “worthy” enough to buy they have that option as well. I seriously doubt with the incredible sells figures Nintendo has their console has “ended up” anywhere bad.
