Going gold here doesn't mean ready for a commercial launch, but more of the Midas touch variety. Japan's favorite feline, Hello Kitty, has now expanded her range of merchandise to include gold Hello Kitty playing cards. They retail for approximately $5,000 a pack and will be made available from October 3rd onwards on Sanrio's online store. Each card has been pressed to 7 microns with Mitsubishi Materials' precision rolling technology and etched with royal Hello Kitty kings, queens and jacks. They are then sealed with a protective laminate for that lasting shine.
