Motorola's AURA phone will definitely remind you of the older Motorola V70 that came with a really unorthodox design back then, and even today I find it hard to accept the V70's spiritual successor - the AURA. This handset features the first circular display in the world and comes with a stainless steel front pattern that is normally reserved for luxury watches. You get a very strange 1.55" display that is able to handle 16 million colors at 300 dpi, although it is pretty pointless to have that capability with a really small viewing area. The front side of the phone rotates up with the help of 130 precision ball bearings, guaranteeing the same grace at opening no matter the amount of times. Specifications of the AURA include :-
- Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz with GPRS, EDGE
- Music & video players
- 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability
- SMS & MMS
- POP3/IMAP e-mail
- Open source browser
- CrystalTalk technology
- 2GB of internal memory
- Stereo Bluetooth 2.0, A2DP and EDR
- USB 2.0
Are you willing to fork out $1,999.99 for this?
