Seagate is still going strong in its hard drive business, with the new FreeAgent Xtreme boasting a 3.5" 7,200RPM hard drive that is able to hold a whopping 1.5TB of data. Connectivity options are pretty flexible here - you can choose to hook up via USB 2.0 (most people will take this route), or FireWire 400 or eSATA if USB 2.0 is not your cup of tea. Of course, eSATA connectivity will be the fastest among the three, hitting speeds of up to 3GB/s. The Seagate FreeAgent XTreme will retail for $300 and comes with LEDs that function as status indicators. There will be three other sizes available just in case 1.5TB is not your thing, with prices starting from $160 upwards for the 500GB model. Gamers will probably check this out as well as those who tend to store a whole lot of digital media on their computers.
