The Palm Centro has helped staved off corporate takeovers from the handheld device manufacturer so far, but it hasn't done enough to turn the company around despite selling millions upon millions of handsets. Taking a leaf out of Nintendo's book, Palm has decided to release the Centro not with updated hardware, but with new colors instead. This time around, you will be able to choose from either pink or green colors, whichever you fancy. The new pink is more welcome than the older pink, since this one features a much darker shade that is more pleasing to the eye, although the green does take some getting used to - an acquired taste, so to speak. Both models will come with the recently released Sprint update accompanied by pre-installed versions of Google Maps. Word on the street has it that these handsets will hit the streets later next month.
