Japanese robots can do some amazing things like carry the elderly, put out fires, and teach you how to dance, among other things. Well, the Germans are working on a neat robot they're calling Nursebot whose expected to hit hospitals by 2010. Aside from being a glorified Roomba who cleans spills and mops floors so real nurses can tend to the patients, Robonurse will have some high-tech temperature taking abilites. Scientists are giving her laser beaming and thermal camera imaging abilities to take your temperature. This means no more rectal temperature taking treatment for you. This alone should make this robo-servant the "Robonurse of the Decade."
