The Pink Tentacle has details of a spacewear fashion show contest of clothes designed at the University of Tokyo's Hongo campus. The clothes is for space travel, and the show was sponsored by Rocketplane Kistler who plans to offer space tours in two years. This "Project Runaway" type of contest offers winners the opportunity to have their designs worn by rich space tourists who plan to to be rocket launched into space by 2008. I don't know about you, but at the rate the human race keeps destroying this planet, the idea of living in another planet doesn't sound like a distant possibility. Perhaps the frilly space-couture duds with "ruffles that expand under weightless conditions or small air-jet propulsion systems in the sleeves to help you change direction while floating." will entice Paris Hiltion to pack her bags. What do you think?
