Oregon Scientific's Weather Station is a great idea for those of us who tend to be a bit disconnected from the weather channel. The Public Alert Radio will warn you in case of floods, evacuations, civil danger warnings, tornadoes or severe thunderstorms so you can protect your family at all times. Often times, I wonder how I would find out if there are any emergencies in my area say at 3am, when everyone is asleep and the TV is off. Disaster can strike at any time, which is why this gadget makes a lot of sense to me. This particular version also has indoor/outdoor temperatures, barometric forecast and an alarm clock along with a docking station. Product Page
