Millionaire Auctions House on Ebay

B9_3 Online Travel Pioneer Dan Whaley, who founded one of the first Internet travel sites (The Internet Travel Network later renamed to GetThere.com) and made millions when he sold it, just auctioned his "waterfront bungalow" in San Mateo, CA on eBay. The winning bid was $1,200,100.00 which is a bargain around these parts.  The house has three bedrooms, a koi pond, a Mediterranean style pool, stone hot tub, a dock, and Moroccan style fireplace. He plans to generously donate what would have been "real estate commissions" to Books not Bars, an Oakland prison reform group. Source
